Our Client is a global consumer products good company with a large e-commerce platform. They are rapidly expanding outside of the US and are looking for a public policy / government affairs professional to help them as they expand into new markets. This role will work directly with the CEO and their team.
Job Description
- Develop and manage a global public policy strategy.
- Include advancing key relationships with trade and industry associations
- Monitor and analyze proposed legislation and emerging issues to advise on and resolve the potential impact on the business
- Lead key meetings with regulators
- Oversee, develop, and manage legislative and regulatory strategies to meet public policy goals
- Advise executives of global policy developments that could result in potential business impact
- Support go-to-market strategies through public policy efforts
- Serve as primary point of contact for government, regulatory, and political communications
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of 7 years in Public Policy or International Relations
- Experience developing and executing public policy strategies and operating in a public policy environment ideally within an e-commerce platform
- Experience managing government relations professionals and associations
- Proven experience with issues and advocacy with legislative and regulatory policies
- Experience working with a growth-oriented, global organization is a plus
