About Our Client
Our client is a well-established F&B and Lifestyle group with various concepts within its portfolio. As a result of recent investments and continued interest to expand their presence in Malaysia and the region, they are looking to appoint a General Manager to lead their range of F&B concepts and offerings and to reinvent their brand for greater expansion, market share and exposure.
Based in Malaysia, this position reports to the Group CEO and will have full operational and strategic responsibility of the overall business in the country. You will be expected to drive the business through strategic decision-making coupled with operational excellence as well as being able to build an excellent team to deliver superb guest experience. You will provide strong leadership and direction in establishing a culture which is customer focused and operationally excellent. In addition, you have a strong awareness of the competitive F&B, hospitality and lifestyle environment, and have the commercial acumen to identify opportunities for growth or viable revenue models to the portfolio. You will also manage all business partnerships and sponsorships for all outlets. There are a couple of new projects in the pipeline and it is essential for this role to lead and take ownership of these new developments ensuring a successful launch. As a strong team player and strategic leader, you will also work closely with the board of directors to develop and implement a viable and ambitious business plan for the group in the region.
The Successful Applicant
The candidate should possess at least 10-15 years of relevant working experience, ideally gained in the food and beverage, hospitality or consumer service industry. With a proven track record in operational and leadership capability, you are also one who posses an entrepreneurial spirit and is a driver of change. You should have an energetic personality, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well with all levels of staffs. You are also self-motivated, 'hands-on' and possess a strong desire to grow and assist the company to grow in the right direction. Prior experience in project management of new outlets opening, business partnerships and sponsorships would be highly advantageous.
