MiTek have created the General Manager of Marketing, APAC to focus on the Marketing and Sales strategy for the Asia Pacific business.
Job Description
Reporting into the Managing Director for Asia Pacific this is a newly created role that is critical to the future of the business. The General Manager of Marketing, APAC will be required to set the marketing and sales strategy for all portfolios within the business. Overseeing marketing strategy, product management, brand strategy, supplier management, sales training, with P&L accountability
This role is truly an end to end role that requires a leader to be able to build the team and strategy from scratch, have a hands-on approach, but also the ability to think big picture and long term from a strategic perspective. This is a complex business that needs someone with great stakeholder management skills to build relationships across both the Asia Pacific and global teams. This role with be the marketing voice for the APAC region and will work in conjunction with the global marketing team. Leading teams in both Australia and New Zealand this role will involve regular travel.
This is an exciting strategic and grass roots role, joining a business that has a growth mandate and are primed for change. You will have the opportunity to drive change and make an impact on the business from a strategic and operational perspective
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a proven Marketing Executive who has examples of building strategy and teams from the ground up. Having proven marketing experience in Software, engineering, manufacturing, construction software or other related industries
- 10+ years in marketing from a similar industry.
- Experience in building strategy and teams in new industry verticals or product lines
- Proven skills in driving improvement in sales and marketing productivity and sales lead creation
- Proven experience in driving change within a business, taking stakeholders on a journey
- Experience in leading marketing teams, which demonstrate a positive team culture
- Proven ability to operate in both strategic and operational environments.
- Ideally previous experience in businesses that use 3D technology or building information modelling (BIM)
