Country General Manager in B2B sales

About Our Client
A leading multinational in the technology sector.
We are looking for a General Manager with overall responsibility for the management, definition and monitoring of the commercial and operating long term strategy of the activities in Nigeria. Handling an important portfolio of clients, in this strategic position you will contribute to the growth and leadership position of the company.
As a decision maker and with the support of a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Lead and oversee the operations of the organisation to meet business goals and projections,
-Represent the company externally with government, statutory/regulatory bodies and business partners,
- Create and maintain cross functional lines of reporting into corporate headquarter
- Measure and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators
- Take lead accountability for the safe operation of the activities; protect employee and employer interests with satisfactory HSEC performance.
The Successful Applicant
University degree in Business Administration or related fields, an MBA would be a plus.
You have a good understanding of the B2B sales in the telecom/technology sector.
With a minimum of 12 years' experience in a senior position, ideally a good part of your career will have seen you intimately involved in General or Operations Management.
Taking into account the local contexts, a professional experience in an emerging market country will be useful for rapid integration.
You must also have the capacity to build legitimacy and leadership by the commercial development and must be able to deliver results in a complex environment.
This role is based in Lagos.
