About Our Client

Our client is a leading player in the energy sector, managing the distribution and retail of petroleum products through a network of gas stations across Rwanda. With a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction, they are committed to providing reliable and efficient fuel services. They are now seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead their operations and drive growth in a competitive market.

Job Description

As the General Manager, you will:

- Lead the overall operations of the oil distribution and retail network, ensuring efficiency in logistics, supply chain, and customer service across all stations

- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability in line with company goals

- Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of performance, safety, and customer focus

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence

- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

- Ensure the highest levels of health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained across all operations

The Successful Applicant

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification would be a strong advantage. You possess a proven track record in general management, ideally within the oil & gas, retail, or similar sectors. Your strong commercial acumen, paired with experience in retail and sales management sets you apart.

You have demonstrated excellent leadership and team management skills, with a hands-on approach to driving operational performance. A deep understanding of supply chain and logistics operations within a retail environment is essential. You also excel in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
