Job Description
As the General Manager of by charlotte, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with the Founder/Director and play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a commercial plan that optimises productivity and helps the company achieve its growth goals.
In achieving these goals, you will review and improve the company's organisational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, and establishing a highly motivational work environment. You will also be responsible for implementing innovative changes that help drive the business forward and stay ahead of the competition.
In addition to this, you will seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships and identifying potential areas for expansion both domestically and internationally.
As a leader, you will prioritise team happiness and culture as a key measure of staff engagement. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of by charlotte to ensure the effectiveness of key projects and critical paths. By doing so, you will help create a positive and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic General Manager who is passionate about growing a business, building a strong team culture, and making a positive impact.
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, you will also be responsible for:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, assign periodic performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish the top-line business goals
- Evaluating, developing and implementing objectives for growth in sales, profitability, and market share through improved operational and financial performance
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
- Resolve internal conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved
- Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in the same or a similar role.
You should also have extensive experience in managing commercial growth in sales, profitability, and market share. Fashion, Accessories, Beauty, or Lifestyle market knowledge is desirable to help you understand the industry and stay ahead of trends.
You will also need to have demonstrated ability to inspire, develop, and lead a team in a small business through significant growth, with people and culture as key measures. Excellent organisational, relationship, and people management skills are essential, as you will be responsible for overseeing employees and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
In addition, a high level of commercial acumen, financial aptitude, and the ability to resolve issues and work to tight deadlines within a changing environment is critical. You will need to be adaptable, able to think on your feet, and make decisions quickly and effectively to ensure the success of the business.
