Our client is a global industrial manufacturing company

Job Description

As a Global EHS Lead, you will have the opportunity to create and develop the EHS function within the group, with a strong focus on safety.

- Lead the global EHS activities, serving as a change agent for continuous improvement and transformation, while influencing the company across all functions

- Put a strong focus on the Safety aspect of EHS to help the company be an industry benchmark

- Act as advisor and mentor for all EHS related activities (Functional and Strategic)

- Implement EHS strategies across the company to ensure achievement of business objectives

- Protect employees and company assets by preventing incident injuries, property and environment damages; ensure assets and processes have adequate capabilities to meet EHS legislation and policies

- Communicate EHS data and methodologies to functional leaders and external business partners, to ensure understanding and buy-in

- Promote best practices related to EHS to optimize employee engagement

- Develop the EHS organization according to defined strategy, in collaboration with global operations.

The Successful Applicant

Main requirements, expertise and experience

- Masters' degree or equivalent in Engineering or industrial operations (the role requires good understanding of manufacturing operations and environment)

- 10+ years of EHS leadership in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety

Competencies

- Strong coaching, influencing and collaboration skills

- Ability to be a change agent

- Experienced in establishing and implementing strategic plans and development of tactics to deliver the planned results and continuously improve outcomes

- Demonstrated advanced leadership skills in influencing stakeholders, teams and projects including direction of others and allocation of resources

- Strong leader able to define area customer / business priorities across the value stream and drive a distributed team to deliver

- Possesses understanding of team dynamics and how to resolve conflict

- Mix of manufacturing and EHS functional expertise

- Capability to drive success in a customer first, global, end to end value stream
