About Our Client
The client is a global manufacturing group, which is growing at pace, and is looking to appoint a Head of Applications and Projects, who possesses excellent relationship building skills and strong business acumen.
Job Description
The role will own Technology Applications for the global business, partnering with Technology and Business leaders internationally to ensure that they meet the companies strategic objectives. The person in this position will also work across a broader Technology remit, to lead a fast moving global technology projects team. This is a leadership role, both directly and through a matrix structure, so it's essential that the person in this role can build strong relationships and coach managers, analysts and developers within the team.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have leadership experience from an international business, ideally in the manufacturing sector. He/she will have experience of owning, developing and maintaining applications, although not necessarily from a software development background, as most are off the shelf.
The ideal candidate will have broad technology expertise, ideally from IT Operations or Infrastructure, but should be able to demonstrate the ownership of applications on the CV.
In addition, Technology Project Management experience would be a huge advantage.
