About Our Client

For our Client an international organization, currently we are looking for experienced professionals for the position of Global Payroll Director.

Job Description

  • Lead coordination, maintenance and continued growth and development of international payroll operations at HR SSC design and implement modifications, updates and enhancements in technology/vendors, applications and processes to ensure optimal performance in the delivery of payroll services
  • Participate in a broad range of projects that support HR, Workforce Management, and Finance & Accounting, through regular pro-active interaction to understand the needs of the business
  • Support senior management with specific data reporting needs. Identifies any unmet system/data needs of the business and works to develop appropriate solutions
  • Deliver on continuous payroll improvement targets
  • Facilitate the integration of new/updated payroll processes and/or vendors into the payroll operating model
  • Work with the Regional HR Director and Global SSC Lead (multi processes CoE) and other stakeholders to create and deliver the CoE strategy
  • Coordinate with partners, customers and key stakeholders (HR Operations, Finance, Audit, HR, IT and Management) to ensure integration, efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of global payroll services as well as addressing business needs with a customer focused and compliant disposition
  • Build and monitor critical metrics to measure the service support levels across all service and payment delivery platforms
  • Ensure Internal Audit controls are correct and comprehensive
  • Develop global talent to sustain local and global competitiveness. This includes identifying and / or recruiting individuals with leadership potential, providing mentoring and enrichment opportunities consistent with succession planning
  • Comply with all company local and global policies including legal & privacy frameworks, Code of Conduct, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies

The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrated international payroll experience, showing increased responsibility in payroll functions both in-house and with third-party payroll providers; should have payroll and benefit responsibility for +4000 employees
  • Demonstrated leadership capability within a Shared Services environment
  • Years of experience in leading a team is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of payroll principles, statutory payments, compensation, finance fundamentals and tax laws within an international environment
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying & delivering against critical success factors for payroll operations, including managing effective and efficient payroll services both internally and provided by external payroll providers
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively and collaboratively with various business partnerships, regions, and cultures, and to promote effective collaboration between them.
  • Knowledge and experience in compliance, wage and hour laws, payroll processing, time and attendance systems
  • Ability to design, develop, implement and maintain processes based on industry best practices
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Team leadership experience is essential; proven experience nurturing, developing and mentoring a team
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Solid vendor management experience and skills
  • Master degree in related field
