About Our Client

Our client is a modern international chemical company with plants and development laboratories worldwide and annual sales of several billion euros.

The products of our customer are in the B2B area and supply the most important industries, such as the automotive industry, consumer goods industry and the packaging industry.

In order to improve the global S&OP processes our client created this new role that reports to the SC Director. The role can be operated from home office or from the office located near Frankfurt.

Job Description

  • Operate as chief architect, teacher, conductor and enforcer of global sales & operations planning (S&OP) and sales & operations execution (S&OE) processes by providing governance and expertise, by transforming work and by improving automatization
  • Own, define and improve / govern work processes related to S&OP and S&OE processes and related sub processes
  • Act as primary consultant to the supply chain organisation on end to end planning related work process and technology needs
  • Provide guidance and support for the Area Process Specialists and operational teams
  • Be the primary interface to the IT Business Partners and SAP Solution Architects for system & work process development, support and issue resolution
  • Define and monitor the KPI's used in S&OP and S&OE processes
  • Represent supply chain planning on all levels in any new implementation (new plant, new legal entity, M&A, divestiture etc.)
  • Sign off on any major work process or system change that impacts the work processes and technical functionality of tools used in the planning area
  • Own global work process documentation and ensure documentation is kept current, sign off on changes as needed
  • Drive development of training concept together with Area Process Specialists, functional stakeholders, HR and IT to ensure operational planning excellence

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, finance or technology field with equivalent work experience and proven track record
  • 5-10 years of relevant operational experience in Planning IT and/or Supply Chain,
  • Experience in designing, documenting, implementing, and improving work processes
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Project Leader certification would be considered a plus
  • Experience in designing, documenting, implementing, and improving work processes
  • Proficiency using SAP/ECC and other technology and systems.
  • Leadership and interpersonal effectiveness skills
  • High analytical & problem-solving capability
  • Ability to be agile, adapt and productive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Very good knowledge of English is mandatory, German is advantageous
