About Our Client
Global Supply Chain Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of supply chain strategies that will improve working capital, drive customer service and deliver the commercial P&L. The successful candidate will drive the business results through strong collaboration with cross functional leadership teams.
Job Description
- Takes accountability for Supply Chain excellence by focusing to improve working capital management, distribution cost / performance, and customer service levels
- Takes the lead to assess and design the supply chain streams to be agile and resilient, having the appropriate alternate business continuity levers in place
- Has significant influence/collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
- Influences business decisions through the on-going cross functional participation of the Global Sales and Operations Planning process
- Leads talent strategy and engagement projects in the international sphere
- Assures leveraging of global center-led processes and industry best practices
- Leads a diverse, multi-located international team with End to End Supply Chain process
- Develops and executes the international Supply Chain functional plan
- Monitors inventory management planning processes, initiatives, and results to drive customer service delivery
- Drive KPI results through team leadership and collaboration with Commercial peers
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate has broad supply chain knowledge and strong influencing and leadership skills. She/he will have at least 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in regional and/or global supply chain functions. She/he will have a strong understanding of advanced S&OP programs and experience working with commercial business teams and customers to improve forecasting and service levels, while decreasing working capital. This leader must be a proactive, action-oriented business leader with the ability to solve complex problems and drive change within well-established organizations. S/he must be a dynamic leader with strong executive presence and business credibility. Most importantly, this individual must balance the strategic and hands-on requirements of this position with a flexible working style and a proven ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.
- 10-15+ years of demonstrated progressive leadership experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline required; Advanced degree highly preferred
- Experience highly desirable in SAP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
- Experience working in supply chain organization that has a focus in eCommerce and eRetail
- Deep understanding of supply chain and its' impact on the company financials, e.g., P&L
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Possesses an analytical understanding of the value and impact of information (managing and reporting data effectively)
- Experience with integrating acquisitions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience leading and developing a high performing team
- English fluency required
- Consumer Packaged Goods background is preferred
- Exposure and understanding of global supply chain dynamics and considerations
- Influential leadership of global organization and senior management
