About Our Client

Our client is a global grower, packer, and shipper of fruits and vegetables exporting to established and emerging global
markets such as the United States, Canada, Europe, UK, China and other Asian and Central and South American countries.

Job Description

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the farm that aligns with its business objectives and mission.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the farm, including crop production, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
  3. Manage the farm's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth supply chain and maximize revenue opportunities.
  5. Manage the human resources function, including recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to farming operations and food safety.
  7. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance farm efficiency and productivity.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new farming techniques, and technologies to improve farm performance and sustainability.
  9. Develop and maintain a strong corporate culture that values teamwork, innovation, and customer service.
  10. Represent the farm at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to promote its brand and reputation.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field with a minimum of five to seven years of relevant work experience in farming operations or a related field.
  2. Proven track record of success in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on crop production, financial management, and staff management.
  3. Familiarity with blueberry farming techniques, post-harvest handling, and market trends is preferred.
  4. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence other departments and senior executives within the organization.
  5. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and mission.
  6. Skilled in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  1. Excellent capabilities to organize and coordinate multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Familiar with agricultural regulations and relevant industry standards, able to ensure compliant operation of the farm.
  3. Native in Mandarin, possess good English skills, and be able to effectively communicate with international partners and clients.
  4. Able to work under high pressure, adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and possess teamwork spirit.
