About Our Client

We are seeking to recruit a Group Chief Finance Officer (plan to enter other EU countries within the next 1-2 years) with a strong business, investment mindset and drive who will support the company in strengthening its very good market position and who will facilitate its further growth. The role will form part of the Management Board and cover all finance aspects of the company. The Regional CFO will work close with CEO and other senior Executives including the Owners. The person on the Group CFO position will be focused on enabling the company to become one of the biggest Energy companies in the region. This role is pivotal to the business's success.

Job Description

  • Partner in formation of an exciting new venture into the renewable energy space (OZE)
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for raising debt and equity financing
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for M&A
  • Stay abreast of key financial risks facing the company, quantify them and help come up with a strategy to mitigate them
  • Build financial models and analyze best case and worst-case projections
  • Work on financial feasibility studies for new projects by thorough assessment of profitability, funding requirements and risks
  • Develop finance organizational strategies by contributing financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Develop business cases to evaluate project investments and track benefits of those projects overtime
  • Provide insights and financial projections for entering new markets locally and globally
  • Support execution of operational and financial strategy on a regional level
  • Develop and improve all the current processes and policies to identify and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of senior management team and lead the strategy planning within the finance area and beyond
  • Utilize market knowledge and customer relationships to drive insights
  • Take responsibility for management information on regional level and work closely with the Board of Director and the Owners
  • Manage financial planning, periodic financial performance reviews and budget variance, ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations
  • Lead a diverse 30 FTEs+ team located in Warsaw

The Successful Applicant

  • Years track record in financial leadership positions driving a business through organic growth, acquisition-driven growth, with hands on experience in a Renewable Energy environment
  • Regional experience, focus and mind-set will a be an advantage
  • Experience in Renewable Energy sector (OZE) is strongly preferred
  • Experience in driving change management (creating new entities, holding structures), financing, fund rising, M&A projects is highly desirable
  • Educated to university degree level
  • ACCA, CIMA or equivalent certification will be a strong asset
  • Strong leadership skills with a successful track record in leading and nurturing teams
  • Experience in collaborating among C-level senior management, business and functional leaders
  • Strategic view, strong conceptual skills
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Possibility to travel occasionally is essential
  • HQ is located in Warsaw/Poland
