Our client is leading Italian Group in food manufacturing with well known brands in Italy and Europe.

Job Description

The new CMO will have the main responsibility to create an "umbrella brand" that gathers all the group brands, in order to maximise the brand awareness on a national level but also, and mainly, on an international scale.

Managing a dedicated team of resources allocated to the two main companies, the new manager will be responsible for the budget management aimed at supporting the new marketing and communication action plan, prioritising international communication and advertising investments.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Draw up the marketing annual plan, proposing volume, share and margin targets in promotion, advertising, distribution and sales areas;
  • Act with the midterm objective of creating a group marketing policy;
  • Collaborate on the international business development, through impactful promotional initiatives for the Group's product and image;
  • Implement the execution of the approved plans and monitor the operations' progress;
  • Support the business growth at international level through the creation of an umbrella brand representing all the brands of the Group and through targeted communication actions;
  • Coordinate all the marketing department activities, with a specific focus on brand management and on communication, specifically implementing promotional and advertising activities;
  • Define and implement a digital marketing and social media plan that is effective and consistent with the new Group marketing and communication strategy;
  • Improve the brand awareness, increase sales and maximise ROI especially at international level;
  • Monitor and assess market trend and competitors' activities and promote appropriate actions;
  • Effectively and regularly collaborate and align with the rest of the Management Team.

The Successful Applicant

  • University Degree preferably in Economics or Business Management, Communication Sciences or equivalent. A Master Degree will be considered a plus;
  • Extensive experience in marketing management of large brands in internationally oriented companies in the FMCG sector, ideally in the food industry;
  • Sound knowledge of the commercial promotion channels, digital and social media marketing;
  • Branding strategy skills;
  • Proven project management and strategic planning abilities together with analytic and data interpretation skills and IT skills;
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills, dynamism and sense of initiative;
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for teamwork;
  • Excellent leadership skills and openness to change;
  • Strategic thinking together with flexibility to work in a changing environment;
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
