In partnership with the CEO, the position holder will lead the company's business development strategy and implementation. The person will take leadership role in shaping the portfolio strategy with focus on out-licensing and partnership opportunities. The candidate will identify potential leads, formulate transaction model, lead business negotiation, and manage the execution of the transactions.

Job Description

  • Shape up the business development strategy for the company
  • Diligently source and scout potential deal at global spectrum
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute the deal opportunities
  • Lead all BD&L efforts including search & evaluation, negotiations, due diligence, and alliance management
  • Bring in new assets to enrich product pipeline through in-licensing, partnership, alliance that aligned with the company's vision
  • Lead corporate strategy for financing activities and business operation
  • Develop deep and credible network with innovators and entrepreneurs and strategic investors, participate in company road shows and key investor and business conferences
  • Build, develop, motivate, and manage a BD&L team to deliver quality work
  • Opportunity to take additional responsibilities in company business operations

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, biology, biomedical sciences or commercial background required; PhD/MD strongly preferred; MBA is preferred
  • Track record of successful deal execution of deals
  • Strong network in China and APAC region opportunities for out licensing
  • At least 15 years of working experience of which at least 8 years of business development or related experience with bio pharmaceutical companies
  • Extensive Business development experience in various transaction forms, such as license-in, license out, research collaboration, Joint venture and other forms of transactions
  • Extensive experience in deal sourcing, negotiation and execution and certain experience in alliance management
  • Global vision and international exposure
  • Excellent analytical skill and logical thinking ability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; fluent English is a must
  • Strong leadership in building, motivating, and managing team
  • Confident, self-driven, collaborative and with strong learning agility
  • Experience in antibody field with exposure to Oncology and Immunology is preferred
