About Our Client

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a globally active technology company specializing in high-precision industrial instrumentation, for an experienced and pragmatic Head of Calibration. In this key role, you will lead a team of approximately 20 employees and ensure that all calibration activities meet the highest technical and regulatory standards. The position plays a central role in securing product quality and measurement reliability across the organization.

Job Description

  • Lead and develop a team of ~20 calibration technicians and professionals


  • Ensure accurate and timely calibration of industrial measurement instruments across product lines


  • Oversee calibration processes in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal standards


  • Continuously optimize workflows, automation, and documentation practices


  • Maintain and verify reference equipment and measurement systems in line with metrological best practices
  • Represent the company in external audits and accreditation procedures, especially with DAkkS and other relevant bodies


  • Serve as primary contact for audits, certifications, and internal quality processes


  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, R&D, and quality assurance departments


  • Foster a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team



The Successful Applicant



Professional Background:



  • Degree in engineering, physics, electronics, metrology or related technical field


  • Proven leadership experience in calibration, quality assurance, or test engineering environments


  • Solid understanding of industrial measurement systems and laboratory procedures


  • In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and experience with accreditation processes, preferably with DAkkS


  • Experience with calibration software and laboratory data management systems is a plus
  • Fluent in German and English, written and spoken
