About Our Client

For our client, a global leader in contract logistics, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Contract Logistics. This is a critical role for a strategic leader ready to shape the future of logistics, optimize operations, and drive business growth.

As the Head of Contract Logistics, you will oversee the strategic management and development of contract logistics operations, with full P&L accountability for the logistics product and/or company. This high-impact role demands strong leadership to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with operational and sales teams to build and nurture business relationships, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, you will stay ahead of market trends and innovations to continuously enhance services and identify growth opportunities.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage contract logistics operations at a strategic level with full responsibility for P&L.
  • Develop and implement long-term contract logistics strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Analyze market trends and innovations to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operational and sales teams to build and maintain strong business relationships, both locally and internationally.
  • Develop and execute sales and growth strategies, focusing on acquiring new customers.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee warehouse process automation and the implementation of value-added services.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust offerings to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring operational stability and continuity.
  • Participate in strategic negotiations and sourcing activities to optimize costs and deliver services efficiently.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in managing contract logistics operations.
  • Strong sales acumen, with experience in building and maintaining high-level relationships.
  • Experience in value-added services and e-commerce logistics is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in sales and relationship management with key international clients.
  • Stable employment history with career progression within previous organizations, including significant promotions.
  • Results-driven leader with the ability to manage operations effectively while driving strategic initiatives.
  • Innovation-oriented, with a proven ability to introduce new technologies and automation in logistics processes.
  • Experience in warehouse process automation and value-added services is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English (C1 level preferred).
