Job Description

GPA is undergoing a significant systems transformation and requires a Head of Corporate Systems to support and lead in the various programmes. The GPA is further supporting smarter working by delivering a Digital systems strategy that is providing new digital enterprise systems and services, automation of business processes, digitising manual ways of working and overall improving the productivity and efficiency of GPA people through a more digital-centric and technology-driven workplace. Priorities include a dedicated Finance System, a new Integrated Workplace Management System and a new Client Relationship Management System to improve client satisfaction. Within this changing landscape, the MRI Horizon platform will remain pivotal as GPA's core property management. The GPA is also working on a longer-term roadmap for its corporate systems, aligned with the needs of the business.

The Head of Corporate Systems will be integral to helping deliver the imminent Corporate systems programmes and shaping GPA's future strategy of systems and services. The individual will lead a small team of systems analysts, system admins, PMO and Solution Architects.

The candidate will:

  • Shape and deliver a Corporate Systems strategy aligned with the needs of the business.
  • Work with the GPA business leads to deliver its Corporate systems supporting from a technology, data and integration perspective.
  • Implement a team to support GPA's systems, analysis and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise systems transformation - take ownership of GPA's core line of business systems and services by demonstrating strong experience having worked within a wide range of systems (Finance, ERP, HR, Corporate etc) to help drive digital transformational change.
  • Systems Architecture & design - Able to support solutions design based on user \ business needs, and assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new systems-orientated projects.
  • Systems Analyst - Be able to understand systems functionality and align to business processes to improve efficiencies, taking into consideration integration, adaptability and scalability.
  • Enterprise systems transformation - take ownership of GPA's core line of business systems and services by demonstrating strong experience having worked within a wide range of systems (Finance, ERP, HR, Corporate etc) to help drive digital transformational change.
  • Technical Design - Ability to have in-depth discussions at a technical level with SME's and specialists to find the best solutions to support the adoption of various technology stacks.
  • Systems maturity and literacy - Ability to support the creation of documentation for new and existing applications to improve adoption and usability.
  • Systems & Data integration - Strong understanding of data requirements, design, analysis and implementation to support effective systems operation, including through the use of data platforms.
  • Leading Enterprise Architecture - ability to understand business capability requirements and translate them into a roadmap of prioritised solutions aligned to the needs of the business taking into consideration legacy estate and future interoperability and scalability. Research, identify and test technology products required for solution delivery. Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing estate.
  • Team management - ability to lead a team of support admins, systems analysts and external partners to support GPA's systems.
  • Programme & change management - ability to oversee and lead core areas of strategic systems transformation programmes with a firm understanding of project plans to support deliverables, RAID and budgets.
  • Business engagement - Facilitate interactions between business divisions to optimize the use of systems and development.
  • Governance and reporting - Lead on Corporate systems forums, working groups and steering groups as well as supporting the creation of Executive level reporting.

The Successful Applicant

Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Systems Design & Development: Ability to translate business requirements into a solution design and work with partners to support the development.
  • Systems integration: Strong understanding of system interactions and processes.
  • Change Management: Ability to oversee complex strategic systems change programme.
  • Data Development Process: Ability to understand and integrate data in order to map, produce, transform and test new products.
  • Systems Support: Ability to lead a team of analysts and system admins to drive systems support, efficiency, and development aligned to business needs.

What's on Offer

  • GPA G6 National £61,710 - £66,614

  • GPA G6 London £65,145 - £70,877

  • A Recruitment and Retention Allowance (RRA) of up to £6,500 is available for candidates that meet the right skills and experience. This will be reviewed annually and is not consolidated for pension.
  • The total salary package is negotiable for exceptional candidates.
