Job Description
As the Head of Finance EMEA, leading a team of 10-15, you will oversee the full spectrum of financial control and reporting responsibilities for EMEA, partnering with the business unit directors to deliver strong financial performance, balanced growth, operating profit and cash-flow.
The candidate will be responsible for managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk adherence to Group policies, procedures and regulations. You will be required to prepare and publish financial statements, oversee accounting operations, analyse financial data and variances, monitor expenditure, perform forecasting revenue and profit, coordinate auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
Some of your principal duties will include:
- Financial reporting and oversight of weekly reporting, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process
- Drive annual strategic planning and forecasting processes including setting operational & financial targets to ensure robust management of business and divisional performance
- Control quality and ensure timely submission of Actuals, Forecast and Budget exercises
- Provide insight on financial performance such as profitability on product margin, expenses and working capital
- Provide strong support to the Operating Units through constructive feedback on performance and advice on improvements, particularly in relation to balanced growth, productivity, capital expenditure and working capital objectives
- Oversee the preparation of all capital expenditure proposals in accordance with company policy and the regional plan
- Drive tangible results across EMEA and functions on working capital management, procurement savings, cost control, etc.
Travel to local manufacturing sites in the East Midlands (approx two days a week) and across the EMEA region will be required.
The Successful Applicant
leadership experience in financial controlling and reporting for a regional business with consolidated revenue no less than GBP 50m
- Experience in multi-currency, complex manufacturing, multi-national companies with matrix reporting structures
- Proven track record of contributing to the business and strategic agenda, leading commercial change and supporting a business during its next phase of growth
- Demonstrate a progressive track record of success, including leadership and management skills to oversee operation financial performance effectively
- Knowledgeable in a global VAT, indirect taxes and statutory filings
- Ability to report to a senior level outside the country whilst supporting the local business management
- Good communication skills
- Strong exposure to financial control; budgeting and management reporting; and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements
- Ability to lead a team of 10-15 employees
- Knowledge of treasury, tax and transfer pricing, but not a must
- Exposure to IFRS reporting
- Eye for details and understand cost drivers in a manufacturing environment
- High level of personal and professional integrity, ethics and values
