About Our Client

The Head of Finance Operations will involve contact with suppliers and customers, where appropriate. You will be responsible for managing an outstanding team of approx. 20+ finance professionals based primarily in Wroclaw. As a Head of Finance Operations, you will act one of the Business Partners maintaining and developing a relationship with a multiply senior level individuals including from an international private equity company, a new main shareholder with a global presence, headquartered in Germany. The Finance team in Wrocław will eventually service all the Group companies and be considerably bigger than it is today.

Job Description

  • Act as finance business partner to stakeholders in the region including CFO (UK) and the Group Chief Financial Officer (Germany), UK CEO and other business heads across continental Europe
  • Responsible for the preparation of reports supporting business decision-making in the company
  • Lead the finance operations teams which will act as a close partner to the Group's business operations
  • Work with the Group CFO and key stakeholders to build out a Group wide Finance team
  • Leading preparation of Group audits and filing of statutory financial reporting in all jurisdictions
  • Supporting the Group CFO with budget preparation and planning, cash management and forecasting, monthly and quarterly management reports to executive management, the board, lenders and key stakeholder with supplementary financial and operational analyses as required
  • Oversight and control of tax compliance, reporting and planning
  • Lead development and implementation of continuous process efficiencies
  • Management and leadership of diverse teams
  • Wroclaw office administration

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree level education (Finance or Economics)
  • Years of experience in a Corporate Finance / Reporting / FP&A role including few years on a managerial / director level position, ideally - experience on a regional role
  • Matrix, CoE/SSC background would be an advantage
  • Experience in an international, fast-paced environment, with a matrix reporting and cooperation with stakeholders abroad
  • Experience in leading, building and managing teams
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills including ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial people
  • Diligent, detail focused, great team player and able to maintain accuracy and focus even when under pressure
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and quickly develop appropriate solutions
  • Ambitious, keen to take on additional responsibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Polish, knowledge of Swedish, Dutch, German or French would be considered as a plus
