Job Description

  • Strategic HR Management:
    • Manage and deliver key elements of people plan, including recruitment planning, induction, performance management, talent reviews, and other initiatives as required, in support of the strategic goals.
    • Lead initiatives on employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organizational culture development across the organization.
    • Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend and drive continuous improvements in HR processes and systems.
    • Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, managers and employees and provide support on all HR fundamentals and employee-related issues
  • Operational HR Management:
    • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new staff, ensuring the hiring of qualified and diverse candidates.
    • Oversee new staff induction, orientation and training.
    • Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations when necessary, and provide guidance on disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
    • Manage and support performance appraisal systems, ensuring regular feedback and professional development opportunities are provided.
    • Monitor, control and track staffing costs in line with budget and prepare HR headcount budgets. Develop and maintain HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Compliance and Policy Development:
    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and specific policies.
    • Act as a key advisor on labor laws, compliance, and best practices to minimize legal risks and ensure adherence to national labor regulations.
    • Be responsible for improvement initiatives for HR processes to maintain a positive and legally compliant work environment.
    • Prepare and update HR-related documentation, including maintaining up-to-date internal policies, procedures and documentation and employee handbook in line with global and regional guidelines.
    • Ensure that all staff know and meet their statutory responsibilities and policies about Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and other relevant legislation.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human resources or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Consolidated experience in HR and in managing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic and operational aspects of HR.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Preferred Success (or other HRIS system) is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Portuguese.
