Job Description



Commercial Strategy & Build‑Up

  • Design and implement the end‑to‑end commercialization strategy for early‑stage and pre‑launch assets.
  • Build a lean, highly capable commercial organization focused on quality over scale.
  • Establish commercial operating models, governance, processes, and performance systems from scratch.
  • Lead market shaping, launch readiness, and go‑to‑market planning for pipeline and early‑launch assets.



Financial Ownership & P&L Leadership

  • Own full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Define optimal headcount structures, incentive models, and deployment strategies with clear ROI logic.
  • Ensure disciplined cost control and capital efficiency-every investment must be measurable and accountable.
  • Act as a commercial partner in internal due diligence, asset valuation, and investment decision‑making.



Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)

  • Architect advanced Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) frameworks, including:
    • Territory design and sizing
    • Targeting & segmentation
    • Incentive compensation and productivity KPIs
    • Performance management and analytics
  • Ensure the commercial engine scales intelligently rather than through headcount inflation.



Marketing & Market Orchestration

  • Lead strategic marketing, brand strategy, lifecycle planning, and omnichannel engagement models.
  • Translate deep customer insights into practical, field‑executable strategies.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional alignment across Medical, Access, Regulatory, and R&D to ensure seamless commercialization.



Regional Leadership (APAC / China)

  • Drive commercialization strategies across APAC markets, with strong execution focus in China.
  • Build regional adaptability while maintaining strategic consistency.
  • Engage external stakeholders and partners as required to accelerate market entry and growt

The Successful Applicant



Experience & Background

  • Senior commercial head (preferably Business Unit Head / Franchise Head level).
  • Strong marketing foundation, not purely sales-driven.
  • Proven experience in early‑stage assets, pre‑market launch planning, and commercialization build‑out.
  • Deep understanding of chronic disease management, including:
    • Metabolic
    • Cardiovascular
    • Renal
    • Related long‑term therapy areas
  • Demonstrated leadership in APAC markets, particularly China.



Capabilities & Mindset

  • True P&L owner with strong financial acumen and capital allocation discipline.
  • Expert in SFE and commercial analytics-able to design systems, not just operate them.
  • A hands‑on operator, comfortable working without mature infrastructure.
  • Entrepreneurial, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity and calculated risk.
  • Strategic thinker who can move seamlessly between high‑level design and operational execution.

  • Not a pure sales head who executes against a fixed budget within a large MNC.
  • Not a headcount‑driven executor who equates scale with success.
  • Not suitable for candidates with a risk‑averse mindset or preference for highly structured, mature organizations.
