Reporting into the Director of Supporter Engagement this is a strategic and pivotal role to the business. Leading a team of 13 this role has both an in house creative and digital teams reporting into the position. The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and leading a cutting edge marketing strategy that serves the organistion, levering digital, communications capability and driving brand recognition. This role will be instrumental in transforming the way they attract, engage and convert supporters through content and campaigns. Innovation is key to the success of this role and will be achieved through website and digital channel optimisation, developing a fresh and compelling approach to storytelling and communications. Having adopted an internal agency model, this role touches many parts of the business which means the post holder will hold excellent stakeholder management skills and be a strong influencer. Save the Children are looking for someone who is digitally savvy, someone who can work with the fundraising team to create best in market strategies to significantly increase revenue. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a proven marketing professional. 2019 is an exciting time for the Charity and the Head of Marketing will be involved in a number of high profile campaigns and strategies
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for the role of Head of Marketing with Save the Children you will have experience of marketing an intangible product, marketed concepts and not products and ideally marketed humanities. We are seeking a senior marketer who has gained experience across a variety of industries. This is a senior role and requires someone who has worked extensively across the ELT and SLT- having managed relatively large teams. We are looking for:
- Significant experience in managing a marketing services function and digital teams
- Proven track record in developing and implementing digital strategies and innovations across all digital channels
- Experience in development and delivery proactive media and PR campaigns
- Extensive experience in marketing strategy and communications from a services or charity based organisation
- Understanding of customer journey mapping and customer experience
- Exposure to CRM and marketing automation
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a non-hierarchical structure with the autonomy to deliver results and success
- Positive and proactive mindset.
