Job Description
This is a high-profile Head of Operations Finance opportunity in the Midlands, reporting directly to the UK Poultry Finance Director and business partnering the Added Value Operations Director for a £300m turnover subset of UK Poultry. The role requires a talented Head of Finance, with the capability to drive performance, uphold financial control and lead the finance teams across 3 significant Added Value factory sites.
- You will oversee and coordinate the performance reporting for the Added Value business, providing commentary and insight into the weekly and monthly Business Performance Review process
- As a high profile and visible finance role, you will work closely and cooperatively with all key stakeholders. You will also lead and build a high performing finance function across the 3 geographical locations, ensuring succession plans in place throughout
- Uphold rigour and control in the Added Value sites' balance sheets and robustness in financial transactions and activities, working closely with the Shared Service Centre
- Business partnering and supporting the Added Value Operations Director in driving the performance agenda for all Added Value sites, focussing on efficiencies, waste, costings, overhead cost control, capex and inventory management
The Successful Applicant
For this high-profile Head of Operations Finance opportunity in the Midlands, you will be part of the senior finance leadership team for this £300m turnover subset of UK Poultry and successful candidates will have/ be:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA, CIMA) with significant post qualification experience
- A strong manufacturing background (ideally food) and operational experience, ideally in a complex multi-site business
- A breadth of finance experience, with a focus on financial control
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to balance the need for analysis and rigour with speed of response when solving problems
- Experience in a leadership role and driving a high-performance team culture
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders to further the finance agenda
- Display ambition, drive and flexibility in approach to both lead and work through change
- Show resilience to succeed in a demanding environment
- Flexibility on travel will be required
