Job Description

* Develop partnership strategies for the broader HSBC VDIP agenda to include partner landscapes, and new partnership business models (e.g. intellectual property, non-banking revenue)
* Evolving, communicating, and executing the HSBC VDIP partnership strategy; special importance will be given to engaging effectively with the line of business teams, at once collaborating and driving
* Initiating and leading external engagement with partners on global HSBC priorities and initiatives to deliver exponential business outcomes. Specifically, able to close deals from the identification of agreed business goals through to sourcing partners and negotiating contracts.
* Creating cross-functional internal relationships to influence the priorities and support of senior leaders in lines of business, product teams, IT, and supporting functions such as risk, procurement, legal
* Leveraging HSBC teams and resources to initiate and lead partnership led innovation projects involving retail and corporate banking products and propositions
* Delivering impact in the form of strategic and economic benefits to the bank through the HSBC Open team overall and in coordination and collaboration with the line of business teams

The Successful Applicant

* Direct experience in developing new retail and corporate banking products including financial proposition innovation, agile and ventures methodology, and go to market strategies
* Direct experience with relationship management, business development, and senior communications is a plus; importantly, the individual is not required to be an expert, rather someone who has broad operational experience that has required an understanding of those disciplines.
* Fluency in Mandarin a significant plus
* Experience working within Asian cultures and with partners across Asia
* Ecosystem knowledge and connectivity with potential partners within the technology, retail / ecommerce, professional services, Fintech, and corporate services sectors
* Hands on innovation and delivery of digital products in a large enterprise.
* Gravitas and credibility to interact with external executives and organisations
