About Our Client

Our client is an important company in the renewable energy sector currently looking for a head of PPA and Revenue Management.

Job Description

  1. Build PPA and energy management strategy top-down across the different geographies and technologies on the present and future portfolio (wind, solar and storage).
  2. Management of PPA origination process for the execution of medium and long term contracts for the sale of energy and related certificates.
  3. PPA negotiation and execution, including renewable auctions.
  4. Supervision of the market operations process for the sale of energy (physical and financial) in all geographies.
  5. Responsible for the energy sales process both for physical and financial executions.
  6. Monitoring and supervision of daily execution of market sales on Day Ahead and Intraday Markets.
  7. Support the Project Finance function, Market Representation and sale of Guarantees of Origin.
  8. Work with development team and project finance teams, providing input for greenfield or M&A projects.
  9. Understand the regulatory and market environment within the geographies under the company's scope.
  10. Lead of middle office activities including development of bidding models and advanced analytics tools for decision making.
  11. Other duties related to the role as required.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, engineering, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in energy markets or relevant sectors.
  3. Profound knowledge of energy market dynamics, key stakeholders, risk management principles, and standard products.
  4. Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Route to Market contracts, and Guarantees of Origin (GOs).
  5. Expertise in risk management and commodities trading.
  6. Strong analytical abilities and a keen commercial accumen.
  7. Customer-centric approach to business with excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficiency in English. Other languages are a plus.
  9. A collaborative and supportive attitude towards colleagues, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
  10. Available to travel internationally when required (<30%).
