About Our Client
My client, an American-British multinational manufacturing company with dermatology products, are looking to employ a Head of Product Safety. The role has been created off the back of a new strategy to relocate their R&D sites closer to customers in Brazil and Poland to increase speed to the market. The role is therefore a high-profile position with the scope to have high impact across the product safety team, made up of toxicology, clinical safety and microbiology specialists in the UK and Poland.
Job Description
- Leading innovation across all R&D functions along with developing vision and strategy across a team of 18 professionals in Poland and the UK
- Staying at the forefront of industry innovation by proactively keeping up to date with scientific developments in microbiology, clinical safety, and risk assessments
- Ensuring product safety across all dermatology products, including compliance, regulatory and product specifications
- Completion of product safety assessment for pre-market approval of new products to avoid delayed launches whilst anticipating the significant/impact of new scientific data
- Avoid regulatory enforcement actions and work to avoid supply chain disruption collaborating with external and internal teams.
- Collaborate upstream to steer future pipeline development.
- Represents my client in key industry groups/trade associations.
- Interacts directly with regulatory associations.
- Develops and implements global product safety and regulatory affairs policies.
The Successful Applicant
- PhD in toxicology or related scientific discipline.
- Relevant experience within dermatology
- Deep understanding of product safety including NAMS and NGRAs
- Proven ability to convey a vision of excellence across teams in two locations.
- Requires significant strategic planning ability, initiative, decisiveness, and good judgement.
