About Our Client

Our client, a leading multinational organisation in the transportation sector, is currently recruiting for a seasoned commercial leader to take on the role of Head of Sales in South Korea. This is a high-impact position focused on accelerating growth in a strategically important market within the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the national sales agenda, driving performance, and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Job Description

  • Serve as the senior sales leader in South Korea, reporting directly to Country General Manager
  • Define and implement sales plans that support broader regional and global business strategies
  • Lead and inspire the national sales team, setting clear goals and driving accountability
  • Strengthen partnerships with key customers and industry stakeholders
  • Ensure effective sales operations, including pipeline development, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Optimize commercial outcomes through strategic pricing and contract negotiations
  • Champion talent development within the sales function, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across marketing, finance, product, aftersales, and supply chain to ensure alignment and execution

  • A bachelor's degree is essential; an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is highly desirable
  • Significant experience leading sales teams in South Korea, ideally within capital equipment, automotive, or commercial vehicle sectors
  • Proven commercial leadership, including P&L ownership or strategic business responsibility
  • Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing teams
  • Industry experience in sectors such as heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or industrial equipment is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and geographies
  • Fluency in Korean and English is required
