The Organisation is now looking for a highly competent, dynamic, balanced, strategic thinking, data/insights driven and results oriented Head of Strategy, Research & Analytics to work in partnership with the CEO towards achieving the Organisation's goals.

Job Description

Reporting directly into the CEO and key member of the leadership team, accountabilities and mandate include:

  • Manage projects involving analysis of industry data, generation of insights and trends including market research studies as and when directed by the CEO
  • Review the current scope of data and insights to ensure relevance, redefinition of metrics/industry benchmarks to support actionable insights to help create opportunities to shape the industry thinking
  • Strategy development and planning to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and tactical initiatives
  • Identify and drive adoption of levers that will benefit industry sustainability, taking a long-term and ecosystem-centric view in driving the execution of the strategic priorities and tactical initiatives
  • Establish and forge partnerships, strategic alliances with external stakeholders (regulators, agencies and other parties) for effective content development, delivery and positioning
  • Facilitate a structured approach for the planning, prioritisation, co-ordination and review of stakeholder engagement initiatives, opportunities and outcomes
  • Conduct research, develop content and publish materials to effectively reach and generate interest among stakeholders
  • Implement a multi-year research / content programme and develop various presentation materials (speeches, articles, research briefs and papers, studies, reports)
  • Provide stakeholder support for senior level engagements with key stakeholders
  • Build relations, develop presentation content, organise events, and exchange ideas with stakeholders through various channels (bilateral and multilateral), that contribute to the overall mandates
  • Key representative at external engagements/meetings
  • Preparation of relevant reports for further discussion / deliberation by working groups, committees, task forces, ad hoc committees and/or Board of Directors

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant professional qualification, degree or post tertiary qualifications from a recognised university
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in a relevant industry, preferably in areas such as professional services / advisory to the consumer-centric or regulated industry (e.g. consumer, financial services, retail, services, trade associations, FMCG, policy/research institutes, management consultancy, regulators
  • High levels of intellectual curiosity and learning agility as well as strategic, critical and analytical thinking;
  • Excellent Research, Statistical or Data Analytical skills
  • Demonstrated Strategic Formulation and Strategic Implementation skills
  • Track record of leadership in Strategy / Strategic Planning or Market Research
  • Consulting background will be an added advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management including networking/influencing
