Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for the main following tasks:
- Create a unique storage system with multiple logistic centers distributed throughout the country;
- Define and monitor supply chain budget;
- Manage warehouse flows and inbound and outbound processes;
- Establish and implement Supply Chain department's direction, objectives and operational priorities;
- Establish and oversee an effective Order management and the Customer Service processes, along with Demand planning, Distribution and Warehouse, setting operational priorities and implementing specific processes, organization model and required skills;
- Design and implement the best logistic service to customers, generating efficiency along the supply chain;
- Guarantee processes and system's synergies on the national logistic network;
- Guarantee high levels of delivery and service to the points of sale;
- Carry out frequent market analyses, in order to optimise logistic and transport's costs;
- Sponsor and implement inter-functional projects aimed at guaranteeing and constantly improving the service offered to internal customers;
- Identify improvements areas and guarantee operational upgrades, in order to avoid critical supply risks;
- Coordinate a team of resources and optimise their work, adopting any new support tools;
- Develop and implement a business plan aimed at digitising the entire logistics process in the direction of creating an online business;
- Check performance and improve process efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
- B.S. degree required, preferably in Business and Management, Industrial Engineering, Transport and Logistics Engineering;
- Solid knowledge of the entire Supply Chain process, gained within complex distribution network, preferably from food, durable goods or DYI industries;
- Demonstrated continuous improvement capabilities, excellent organisational skills, time management, target oriented and decision-making;
- Deep understanding of the supply chain control models and the storehouse stock's management procedures;
- Strong knowledge of the main warehouse management and organisational systems;
- Purchasing planning, industrial accounting and supplies scheduling previous experience is required;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an effective approach at all levels;
- Hands on attitude, able to lead a successful project within entrepreneurial organisation;
- Target oriented and analytic mindset;
- Excellent leadership skills, flexibility and pro-activity;
- Fluency in English and Italian is required.
