Job Description
Reporting to the CFO and managing a small team you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the global tax function, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities for the group.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organisation's business objectives and maximise tax efficiency's.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions, including timely filing of tax returns and payment of taxes.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the group's tax position.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management on tax-related matters, including the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities, external tax advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the transfer pricing function and ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and documentation requirements.
- Lead and develop a small team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
The Successful Applicant
- Professional certifications such as ACA/ACCA or CTA or similar are highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and reporting, preferably within a multinational manufacturing or industrial company.
- Strong knowledge of UK and international tax laws and regulations, including transfer pricing rules.
- Proven track record of effectively managing tax risks and identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives, tax authorities, and external advisors.
What's on Offer
Up to £130,000 base plus car allowance, excellent bonus, LTIPS and benefits package.
