Job Description
You will be leading a team of 5 individuals currently based in Madrid. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering our global pricing strategy, and optimizing the collection of premiums, as well as well as policy maintenance.
- Head up and continue to develop the full capabilities of the technical department including development of:
- Full inhouse quoting capabilities for both renewal and new business
- Monitoring tools for technical results and experience studies
- Coordinate underwriting approach and practice
- Coordination with global Client and Key Account Managers
- Develop and update statistical sources for pricing and reserving purposes
- Develop new pricing basis based on robust market research
- Automation and optimization of the quote process and systems
- Analysis of claims and calculate benefit claims costs and total cost projection
The Successful Applicant
- University Degree in Actuarial Science, or Mathematics
- At least 10+ years industry experience in international L&H insurance/reinsurance
- Owner Actuarial License (DGS)is a plus
- Broad understanding of the technical operation processes in the health environment
- Experience in collaborating and communicating with an international team
- Strong organizational and structural capabilities, ability to focus and delivery with discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership experience
- Budget Management experience
- Strong analytical mind-set
- Detail oriented can-do spirit
- Appetite to go the extra-mile
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritise work
