Job Description

  • Demonstrable evidence of running HR operations at scale: The candidate should have experience in managing HR operations in a large organization, showcasing their ability to handle complex HR processes efficiently.
  • Subject matter expert in end-to-end HR operations: The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of HR operations, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Experience of implementing and running new HR technology or HR operational approaches: The candidate should have a track record of successfully implementing and managing new HR technologies or operational approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness in HR processes.
  • Strong business development experience, with a focus on closing business and increasing revenue: The candidate should have a proven ability to drive business growth and generate revenue through effective business development strategies and closing deals.
  • Experience dealing with and selling to senior internal and external stakeholders: The candidate should have experience in engaging and selling HR solutions to senior executives and stakeholders both within the organization and externally.
  • A strong industry network: The ideal candidate should have a well-established network within the HR industry, enabling them to leverage relationships and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Brings a clear understanding of the intricacies of managed services, either as a supplier or client: The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of managed services, either from the perspective of a service provider or as a client who has utilized managed services.
  • Evidence of supporting in responses to RFPs, bid activities, and pitches: The candidate should have experience in supporting the development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), participating in bid activities, and delivering compelling pitches to win new business opportunities.

The role of the HR Managed Services Director is to oversee the operational delivery and expansion of a growing portfolio of HR outsourced managed services. This includes leading the growth of our HR Managed Services proposition and collaborating with our HR advisory and transformation teams to co-create HR solutions. The Director will work across various sectors and should be motivated to be part of a thriving business.

  • Operational Delivery: Ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR managed services to clients, meeting their needs and expectations. This involves overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing service level agreements, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Portfolio Expansion: Identifying opportunities to expand the HR Managed Services portfolio by understanding market trends, client needs, and industry demands. This includes developing new service offerings and tailoring existing solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Collaboration with HR Advisory and Transformation Teams: Working closely with the HR advisory and transformation teams to co-create HR solutions that align with client objectives and address their specific challenges. This involves leveraging operational expertise to design and implement effective HR strategies and processes.
  • Business Growth: Driving business growth by actively participating in business development activities, such as identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and contributing to the development of proposals and pitches.
  • Sector Expertise: Developing a deep understanding of various sectors and industries to effectively position and tailor HR Managed Services solutions to meet client needs. This includes staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to the HR Managed Services team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. This involves setting clear goals, providing feedback and coaching, and ensuring the team has the necessary resources and support to deliver exceptional results.
  • Overall, the HR Managed Services Director plays a critical role in driving the growth and success of the HR Managed Services portfolio, collaborating with internal teams, and delivering value to clients across different sectors.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Managed Service Director should have

  • Proven experience as a HR Director or similar role
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in HR management software

  • An attractive salary package of £120,000 to £140,000
