About Our Client

My client is a manufacturing and production facility. They operate in the renewables/ automotive/ energy/ industrial space and are experiencing an extended period of significant growth. They are over 50 years old as a business and partner with some of the worlds most recognizable and respected multinational corporations. Their turnover is almost $ 2b USD annually and they have over 200 employees. Due to a recent resignation, they have partnered exclusively with Michael Page Boston to secured their next highly competent, HR Manager.

Job Description

Reporting directly into the HR Director for the Americas and with a dotted line to the Plant General Manager, we are in search of an outstanding couch and business partner. The HR Manager's main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Overall HR responsibility for a 200+ employs manufacturing, engineering and production plant facility. Around 50 of these are in the engineering and innovation division, the remaining 150+ are involved with the production.
  • Develop and manage all HR related programs, systems and procures
  • Advise and administer company-wide compensation plans
  • Coordinate new starter on-boarding and orientation
  • Manage external recruitment
  • Plan personnel training and development
  • Manage the dispute management process, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Analyze training needs to design associate development and training and development programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for associate termination.
  • Manage one direct report (HR Coordinator)
  • Ad hoc duties and responsibilities

Please note that this position allows for one day week or remote working (maximum). This may evolve in time.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelors degree (essential)
  • 8 to 10+ years of relevant HR experience (essential)
  • Ability to work 4 or 5 days a week in the office
