About Our Client
My client is an energy infrastructure business. They now have around 100 employees and are expected to triple their employee headcount in the coming years. They have the backing of a large international infrastructure fund, and are at an exciting phase of rapid and impressive growth. Their office is based in Boston, close to Back Bay. They will be growing to 200 to 300 employees in the next few years.
They have exclusively engaged with Michael Page Boston to secure their next strategic Human Resources Director.
Job Description
Reporting into the General Counsel and the Executive Team, this is a newly created Human Resources Director opportunity. The role manages an existing HR Manager/ Generalist and will develop the team/ function over the coming years. The role is pivotal to the business's overall long term success. Main duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and implement all new HR policies and procedures
- Work closely with senior leadership to devise and set overall company wide HR strategy
- Devise structure of organization to allow for optimum performance as the company continues along its high growth path
- Helps foster an environment of learning and ongoing professional development
- Develops DEI plan, including establishing metrics to achieve proposed outcomes
- Coordinates with Senior Management to create and nurture corporate culture, including DEI strategies
- Implement, utilize, review and report on various HRIS tools and systems
- Partner with outside counsel to maintain compliance with local, federal and state related laws and regulations
- Maintains corporate knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Manage and control spend of HR specific budget
- Manage current HR Manager
- Ad hoc duties as required

The Successful Applicant
In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of relevant HR experience
- Proven track record of establishing effective HR programs at a high-growth early-stage company
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (ideal but not essential)
- Strong experience of succeeding in a high growth professional environment
- Ability to travel occasionally to New York, USA West Coast or Europe from time to time (less than 2% of time).

- Base salary of between $ 200,000 and $ 240,000 (dependent upon experience)
