About Our Client

Our Client is a well-known global boutique company in the Business Services sector headquartered in Warsaw. As the Finance Director, you will collaborate closely with Office Heads across multiple time zones and continents. We are searching for a Finance Business Partner who combines a hands-on approach with exceptional communication skills and a deep commitment to key finance transformation and change management initiatives. In addition, we are looking for an individual who excels as a people manager, capable of establishing enduring relationships across various teams while providing invaluable insights and guidance to local management heads. This role carries significant importance to the finance team and wider business as we develop the operation in our Polish office serving the broader business. You will report to CFO based in HQ.

Job Description

  • Lead the development of the international finance team based in several offices across EU, fostering high levels of performance and collaboration to maximize their collective positive impact on the business
  • Offer valuable insights and guidance to local office heads, leveraging cross-functional teams (including Commercial Finance, Analytics, and FP&A) to ensure that office heads receive comprehensive support for plan development and optimal local decision-making
  • Provide crucial support for key transformation projects within the business, with a primary focus on developing strategies for the finance department and beyond, followed by the implementation of various 'service lines' that

  • Oversee the maintenance of high standards of control and compliance while driving continuous improvements. Collaborate closely with the Finance Controller to institutionalize advanced analytical controls. Coordinate statutory audits across international entities
  • Support the development of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes across international offices - driving operational excellence in managing Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Debtor days, while also spearheading long-term improvements that will significantly enhance overall cash generation

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to university degree level; ACCA, CIMA or equivalent certification will be a strong asset; Qualified Accountant
  • Exceptional Leadership Experience in an international context (cross-geo & time zones, preferably within SSCs/CoEs), involving the leadership of teams and the effective management of stakeholders within a matrix organization
  • A track record of successfully navigating both business and leading operating model change, both within Poland and on the international stage
  • Broad Range of Finance Experience in Controlling, Commercial Finance, and FP&A
  • Proficiency in Change Management, including the design, leadership, and implementation of change initiatives within finance and across various functions
  • Adept at Senior Stakeholder Management across various functional areas
  • A proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement; fosters a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and belonging, recognizing the value of diverse perspectives in achieving strategic objectives
  • Possessing the necessary skills to manage complex teams and other managers, ensuring that strategic objectives are met with excellence
  • A strong commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders, driving excellence in service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders within a complex and geographically dispersed environment
  • A natural inclination to seek knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and remain adaptable in dynamic business environments
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of organizational dynamics and effectively navigates them with diplomacy and assertiveness
  • Translate complex concepts and challenges into clear, actionable strategies and solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Sets ambitious goals, inspires others to achieve them, and takes calculated risks to drive the organization forward
