Job Description

As a Wills & Estates Lawyer with approximately 0-2 years PQE, you will:

  • Draft wills, enduring powers of attorney, and other estate-planning documents across the ACT (and NSW when required).
  • Assist with probate, estate administration and deceased estate matters.
  • Participate in client meetings, giving advice under supervision and helping manage straightforward estate planning instructions.
  • Support senior team members in estate-dispute work, testamentary trust structures, and strategic estate planning.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas (family law, business advisory) to provide holistic advice to clients.
  • Embrace the firm's modern, team-based approach to legal delivery, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and client service enhancements.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this role you will bring:

  • Admission to practice in the ACT (or eligible for immediate admission) and approximately 0-2 years PQE (or new admittee keen to specialise in wills & estates).
  • Some experience (or strong interest) in wills, enduring documents, deceased estates or related matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - you will engage with clients, advisers and executors in a clear and professional manner.
  • Strong research, drafting and analytical ability, with keen attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • A proactive, collaborative working style, aligned with a progressive and inclusive culture.
  • A desire to develop and build a career in the wills & estates space within a well-regarded firm.
