Offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, this is a great opportunity to progress your in-house legal career within a highly prestigious non-profit in their expanding legal and compliance function.Job DescriptionAs Regulatory Affairs Legal Counsel, a varied role with responsibilities including:Provide regulatory guidance - driving best practice, advising of changes to regulations, updating internal documentation, policies and proceduresEnsuring HIPAA, OIG and OMIG compliance - updating policies, procedures, driving best practiceCollecting and submitting data for government audits and requestsContract review and agreement - review, draft, negotiate and handle contracts including vendor and third party supplier contractsAd hoc projects including assisting with special investigations and fair hearing managementHandling litigation and legal requests, coordinating with the Head of Legal, managing outside counselThe Successful ApplicantThe Regulatory Affairs Legal Counsel, will have demonstrable skills:Juris DoctorNew York State Bar3+ years managed care experience/ previous work in a managed care organizationStrategic, hands-on approach to in-house legal counsel work within a healthcare non-profit settingAble to work well independently as well as collaboratively within the wider regulatory, legal and compliance functionWhat's on OfferThe Regulatory Affairs Legal Counsel, will receive:Competitive salary: $150,000 - $180,000 base salaryComprehensive benefits package: healthcare, retirement plan, paid time of, career progression and enhancement opportunitiesFlexible working: the role is primarily based on-site in Bronx/ Westchester borders with support for flexible working/ respect for family life and hobbies, work-life balanceCandidates must have the right to work in the US now and indefinitely in the future.
