- Role will focus legal matters related to corporate banking, M&A and contracts

Job Description
- Work closely with members of the legal team to advise the business on a variety of legal issues across the corporate, payments and global markets business units
- Provide advice on M&A transactions and draft, review and negotiate related documents
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: credit agreements, payment agreements, LOCs, NDAs, guaranties, reimbursement agreements and other documents pertaining to the bank's corporate functions
- Partner with internal clients across the Operations, Tax, Treasury, Credit, Compliance, Finance businesses
- Manage outside counsel
- Work to ensure compliance with bank regulatory and compliance matters
- Advise on the Bank's legal issues, services and more
- Assist with special projects as needed
The Successful Applicant
- JD from top US Law School
- Admitted to NY State Bar
- 5-9 years of total legal experience gained at a top law firm within the banking practice and/or in-house at a bank, supporting corporate/investment banking transactions and M&A activity
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for a bank, related to credit, corporate banking, M&A, loan documents
- Direct experience advising on M&A transactions and related documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
