About Our Client

For our international Client, who is a manufacturer in the heavy industry in Europe, we are recruiting for Managing Director Operations for one of the business units, located in central Poland.

Job Description

Responsibilities:The person in this role will be responsible for all areas of production, including:

  • Production Team (Foremen and Workers)
  • Technology Team
  • Planning Team
  • Infrastructure and Maintenance Team
  • Welding Supervision Team
  • Quality Control Team (incl. Laboratory)
  • Quality Management, Health and Safety Team

The Successful Applicant

For this function we are searching for a seasoned professional with technical education and several years of experience in management functions in the production of ideally heavy industry/ industrial equipment/ steel processing.The ideal candidate

  • Lives in central Poland, or is ready to relocate
  • has a degree from a technical university (Engineering, Metallurgy, Automation Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Supply-Chain-Management, …)
  • Have at least 5 to 10 years of experience in a leading position in Production, Production Technology or Production Planning
  • Since production of large steel structures is integral part of the business, the person should have experience in Technology and Welding Engineering (IWE)
  • High focus and extensive experience on process optimization in production, possibly advanced degrees in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar
  • English language is a must, German language skills are an advantage
  • Have an integrative personality with a strong entrepreneurial thinking and solution-oriented action
  • Have a strong analytical mindset and a good mix of assertiveness and empathy
  • Is willing to travel within Europe as and when needed
