Job Description

This position will report to the Regional Director for Western Europe and will heading up the Häfele Spain Management team, Häfele are incredibly committed to delivering an innovative product offering and excellence to their customers. This position will be pivotal in ensuring their continued success.

The position is responsible for managing and directing Häfele Spain with a focus on sales workforce and sales activities of the company in order to provide a competitive advantage through strategic planning, resulting in increased sales and profitability.

The responsibilities include running a business by leading and guiding the strategic vision of the company to achieve sustained, long term and profitable growth.

  • The key person will be able to expand business by building and managing employee, customer and vendor relationships and increase profitability by analyzing key performance indicators and financial results.
  • Act within their powers; promote the company's success, exercise independent judgement, exercise reasonable care, use skill and diligence, avoid conflicts of interest and act in the best interests of the company at all times.
  • Responsible for the entire Häfele Spain operation (IT, Finance and Administration, Operations and Logistic, Sales and Marketing) P&L and for the Balance Sheet, including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Permanent analyzing and improvement of business processes and monitoring of effectiveness and profitability in the sales organization.
  • Provide for an ethical, safe, empowered, and eager learning environment that encourages and rewards initiative and fosters personal growth.
  • Providing quick customer service, propose solutions and support actively the sales representative activities by leading by example.
  • Providing team leadership by ensuring cohesiveness in the business and with the customers.
  • Demonstration of creativity in terms of marketing and sales activities to build up the Häfele brand name.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor' s Master or MBA will be a plus.
  • Postgraduate training at a prestigious business school would be valuable.
  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • At least 15 years' working experience in a senior management position as Managing Director or Country Manager with full P&L responsibility, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution sectors.
  • Strong experience developing commercial and marketing strategy, and business plans.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting.
  • Used to reporting International experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams, preferably in sales related functions.
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
  • Strategic vision.
  • Continually drive effective results.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation/negotiation skills supported by excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to communicate and build relationships effectively at all levels.
