Job Description

Combine a digitalized planning and engineering design processes, with best-in class workflows and engineering practices to enable consistent, faster and more accurate performance focused well delivery Support of our offshore projects, for maintaining technical excellence for drilling and completions engineering and well design, driving continual improvement and for mentoring staff drilling engineers. Lead and drive the Risk management revamp and BPM integration efforts as part of this transformation

Define the strategy to deliver value of the transformation in workflows, functions and processes, and technology, whilst working closely with process owners and subject matter experts

Lead and define opportunities that create tangible value from future state engineering capabilities that results from the transformation - including leading current state assessments, identifying opportunities to increase Engineering efficiency, and developing solutions to achieve the right value led outcomes for the company

Leverage digital technologies such as VRO to enable future-state engineering capabilities and drive targeted business outcomes

As Technical Authority (Subject Matter Expert) Level for Offshore Well Engineering, He/She will verify appropriate suite of standards and procedures for the design work, and provides recommendations to Global Engineering Manager for the approval or rejection of MOC requests to deviate from defined standards and procedures

The Successful Applicant

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Science, Technology, Engineering

Minimum of 15+ years of Well Engineering experience with hands-on current knowledge of drilling & completions operations and techniques in offshore (preferable Deep Water) drilling environments as wells as managerial experience.

Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.

Must have a minimum Level 4 IWCF Well Control certificate.

Hands-on current knowledge of drilling & completions operations and techniques in offshore (preferable Deep Water) drilling environments

Prior experience with Well Engineering transformation and process redesign methods.

Knowledge of existing, new and emerging digital technologies and being able to practically apply them to Well Engineering processes.

End -to -End knowledge of all aspects of Well Engineering processes, Risk management in Well construction, appropriate supporting functions and organizational structures.
