About Our Client
Our client, an international family company in the Pharmaceutical & Healthcare sector is looking for its new Operations Director (manufacturing, packaging and maintenance) for one of its Belgian manufacturing site to enhance its performance in a context of production growth.
Job Description
- Ensure the proper execution of production operations and maintenance to meet the set objectives
- Secure compliance with Quality and HSE rules (and related procedures, GMP, cGMP etc…)
- Organize incoming and outgoing logistic physical flows and manage stocks
- Drawing up, proposing, and monitoring budget for the cost centers
- Carry out the analysis of causes in case of problems with the support of the factory's support services
- Build and monitor a continuous improvement action plan in collaboration with the factory contacts (quality, logistics, HSE, employees etc.)
- Manage the staff (allocation of tasks to employees, monitoring of achievements, conducting annual interviews, planning holidays, training, etc.) engaging & empowering the teams
The Successful Applicant
With a minimum of 5 to 10 years of successful professional experience in production (manufacturing and packaging) within the cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical or related industries. In addition this person has:
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Smed, etc.), technical knowledge of production and packaging lines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (GMP, cGMP, etc.)
- Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills
- Large autonomy, dynamism, "problem solving", mixing entrepreneurial and team player mindset
- Re-activity, rigor and sense of priorities
- Languages : Fluent in English and French
