About Our Client

Our client has an excellent track record in full energy supply, structured products, PPA solutions in renewable energy investments, domestic and international energy wholesale trade and risk management.

They have been providing tailor-made power purchasing (includes electricity, natural gas and renewable energy) solutions to large-scale industrial and commercial customers who need high amounts of energy via managing risks, optimising supply chain and minimising energy purchase costs. In addition, being a pioneer in long-term, bilateral power purchase agreements, company also works with investors and developers as a periodic power purchaser, reducing the risk of assets' future energy turnover flows.

Job Description

This role will support the company's revenue growth and expansion of market dominance by developing and managing origination activities. It includes responsibilities in strategic decision-making in line with the company's sales targets, maintaining sustainable business partnerships, customer and stakeholder management to expand company's origination portfolio in Türkiye.

Professional will work closely with origination's structuring & options team in HQ, portfolio management in Turkish office, the balancing team and other teams within company to originate physical and financial structured products in the Turkish energy market and face business through gas and power and/or and cross-commodity transactions.

S/he will have own P&L responsibility (able to generate at least 1 M EUR per year) and will concentrate on selling electricity (maybe gas) to the end-users over 10 GWh.

Directly reporting to the Managing Director, the professional will be accountable for:

  • Structuring and developing end consumers sales business
  • Researching customer opportunities and execute strategies for origination deals around renewable, conventional power producers, gas producers, and large industrial organisations
  • Systematically identifying, developing, negotiating and closing standard and complex transactions
  • Creating new business models/set up to respond to the regulatory changes in the market
  • Fostering smooth cooperation with different supportive departments within company

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree from reputable universities, master degree is an important plus
  • Experience in sales to end-users in energy market (retail and wholesale electricity/gas)
  • Having a good network among end-users and knowing key decision makers; especially those who know international customers
  • Strong customer orientation, an ambitious sales professional who is motivated by developing customer relations and meeting/exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent analytic and value/solution offering skills, resilient, business acumen coupled with positive/optimist style
