Job Description

I am recruiting a Planning & Performance Lead with a unique organisation split between the public and private sector sphere. Your overall responsibility is to set up and lead the operational and strategic rhythm the organisation needs to be a high performing organisation. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Leading the planning structure and operating rhythm to give maximum effect to the critical success factors
  • Work with the Executive to plan and execute a programme of continuous improvement
  • Drive operational and strategic initiatives and resulting change in the organisation;
  • Setup and adapt a structure for the delivery of policy and business change across the organisation;
  • Facilitate on the implementation of the strategic objectives;
  • Own the strategic objectives (critical success factors) of the organisation and develop a planning structure that delivers against these objectives;
  • Own and maintain the strategic backlog and Scrum processes;
  • Own the Annual and Quarterly Planning process;
  • Lead the process of continuous improvement to the organisation's processes;
  • Use effective tooling to convey, transparently and visually, the planning and performance of the organisation to all members of the team.

The Successful Applicant

Qualities, Qualifications and Experience

  • Can do attitude to complex delivery;
  • Experience in project management, corporate planning and performance management
  • Work with empathy and enthusiasm and positive manner to dealing with issues, and people;
  • Proactive and Practical approach to problem-solving;
  • Scrum / Agile Qualified (desirable)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and suppliers to deliver shared objectives;
  • Public Policy delivery experience (cross organisational) - [possibly a Master of Public Policy qualification];
  • Demonstrable experience of picking up technical environments at speed;
  • Experience in supporting complex intellectual public policy environments (or regulated environments);
