You will also be the face of the company, acting as the bridge between the company and key customers.Your role involves managing the plant's daily functions, ensuring productivity and quality as well as developing and implementing strategies to improve operational performance. This role plays an important part as the company elevates their position through optimized workflows and exploring new technologies in their products, such as automation.Technical Expertise & Oversight: Provide guidance and direction to engineering, maintenance, and production teams in relation to machinery design, modifications, installation and after sales service. Leverage knowledge in machinery design to troubleshoot complex equipment issues, suggest design modifications, and implement solutions.Efficiency Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency, reduce waste, and implement lean manufacturing techniques. Ensure production goals are met by overseeing the manufacturing process, scheduling, and resource allocation within project timelines.Innovative Design Integration: Promote and implement innovative design techniques to improve the adaptability of machinery. Identify opportunities to integrate automation and smart technologies into plant machinery to streamline operations and increase productivity.Supply Chain Management: Manage the end to end supply chain from production to logistics teams.Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with senior technical stakeholders in key accounts based in various countries. Address inquiries, complaints and requests through effective collaborative efforts.Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentoring, while promoting an atmosphere of cross-functional collaboration.The Successful ApplicantHold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, up to at least a Bachelor's level.A minimum of 15 years' experience within a similar/relevant industry, with significant expertise in a machinery manufacturer.Prior senior leadership experience, with a consistent and stable professional track record.Have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, with experience progressing from hands-on, early-career roles to senior leadership positions.Commercial acumen with a successful history of sustainably scaling an established business.Entrepreneurial and growth mindset with a sense of accountability over the business.Effective communication and influencing abilities to manage internal stakeholders and global customers.Willing and able to travel to rural and/or industrial locations in remote areas.What's on OfferGet the chance to lead a highly established, profitable company with a long history in the industrial machinery space and a global presence.
