Job Description

The core responsibilities of the role holder will be to:

  • provide credible and influential senior technical leadership internally and externally on accounting, public disclosure and audit policy and practice matters
  • develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant key decision-makers in government, the accounting and audit profession, regulated firms, accounting and audit standard-setters, regulators, and relevant international stakeholders;
  • ensure technical analysis on relevant accounting, public reporting and audit issues is high-quality, credible and influential;
  • help shape the overall strategy on accounting, financial reporting and audit policy and practice issues, and its implementation, identifying and anticipating emerging risks and issues;
  • advise and support senior management on their external engagement on accounting, financial reporting and audit issues;
  • help individuals across the accounting teams and wider division deepen their technical skills and support their development;

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be an ACA qualified accountant with a very strong technical background and a wealth of IFRS experience.
