Our client is a privately owned manufacturer serving the global oil and gas, petrochemical and liquid natural gas industries.

Job Description

* Develop and implement quality assurance systems, policies, and procedures to meet industry standards
* Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with product and regulatory standards
* Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Train and support teams on quality control processes and standards.
* Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's objectives.
* Oversee production, supply chain, logistics, and process improvements.
* Monitor and improve operational KPIs (e.g., efficiency, cost reduction, on-time delivery).
* Manage inventory levels in line with corporate guidelines
* Ensure adherence to legal, safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations.
* Collaborate with regulatory bodies and auditors as necessary.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
* Lead cross-functional teams to optimise workflows, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
* Lead and inspire the quality and operations teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
* Collaborate with customers to understand and meet their quality expectations.
* Address and resolve customer complaints or quality issues promptly and effectively.
* Manage budgets for quality and operational activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimisation without compromising quality.
* Identify and integrate new technologies to improve operational efficiency and quality standards.
* Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Sales, and Customer Service, to align operations and quality with overall business goals.
* Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, ensuring quality standards in procurement and supply chain processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management and operations
  • Proven track record of implementing QMS and driving operational excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytically, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Expertise in quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and operational management software
  • Commitment to safety and sustainability practices.
