About Our Client
Our client is a multi-billion dollars, highly respected and world-renowned organization with a long established history. They are in the Business-to-Business services industry and is recognized as one of the world's best companies to work for. The organization continues to grow organically and via strategic M&A. Asia region is one of their key growth engines. Due to internal movement, they are now searching for a seasoned Tax expert to join their Regional HQ in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Group Head of Tax in the HQ, you will lead & oversee the Group's Asia region tax affairs and work as an expert advisor, providing sound tax advice and support to the business.
You will work closely with global HQ and the regional teams as a trusted business partner, providing strong tax operational and compliance advice on regular business and other commercial & strategic projects, including acquisitions and corporate restructuring projects, review of tax due diligence, ensuring tax risks are mitigated. You will also advise and implement on tax effective cross-border transactions.
You will be the subject expert to the business and advise the regional & local finance team on the tax impact on commercial transactions, and to manage & minimize local tax risks, while also implementing effective tax incentives in the region.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a Law graduate or a Big 4 trained Qualified Accountant with strong tax advisory background, preferably sound regional tax knowledge in Asia, especially Greater China.
You will possess robust understanding of international & cross-border transactions and tax concept, and practical implementation of DTA provisions.
You are self-motivated with an innovative mindset, and possess strong technical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
You're an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise with global leaders and a diverse group of stakeholders.
This position may require traveling within the region, and fluency in English and Chinese languages is a must.
