Our client is one of the largest distributors of electronic components and embedded solutions. Leading industrial equipment and device manufacturers use the products and services to develop better and smarter devices for their end customers.
Our client serves the embedded market and offers serial, modified and fully customized products and solutions (embedded boards, display solutions, embedded systems and embedded servers) designed and manufactured in-house.
A team of experts provides proven, end-to-end guidance on planning, design, integration, production and deployment of technology solutions that meet market needs. Customers benefit from the manifold solution competency and tailored systems.
You will have the overall responsibility for sales in Central Europe with a high place value and the possibility to contribute to the company's success.
Reporting directly to the Vice President EMEA, you will set and drive a successful sales strategy and ensure the sales growth.
Your proactive leadership style and your hands on mentality will motivate your team of 50 employees (inside & outside sales) to follow your vision and deliver great results.
Your analytical skills will empower you to provide accurate sales forecasts and your winner mentality will allow you to achieve or exceed your team goals. Therefore, you will recruit, retain and develop the best sales people in the industry and cultivate a culture of growth, accountability and continuous improvement.
You will manage individual projects, set up priorities, deadlines and deliverables to build up an appropriate pipeline of new project opportunities and deliver design wins across all Technology Business Units, ensuring high conversion rates from design to profitable sales.
Therefore you will keep your team and yourself on a high level of professional and technical knowledge and develop a deep understanding of the value proposition.
You will be aware of the customer and market needs, and competition activity to retain the leadership position.
You will work closely with the Technology Business Units, manage and drive effective working practices across all departments and maintain strong working relationships with key client supplier partners, and key customers
The Successful Applicant
You bring a profound sales experience in a technical field and a high motivation to thrive sales with a proven track record in exceeding targets and delivering accelerated profitable sales growth in a complex solution based business.
You have a deep understanding of managing sales teams with leadership experience in a relevant industry and management experience in a higher position, as well as an understanding of different working methods.
Your leadership has a clear direction and motivates your team to follow you to deliver the desired results with a high degree of motivation.
Having a solution oriented approach that considers the broader perspective of the problem as compared to simply solving the problem and you can transmit that on your employees.
- Degree in a technical or business field or comparable
- Expertise in leading and developing sales teams
- Highly analytical skills
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Fluent english and german as a full work proficiency
- Willingness travel regularly on business
